Results from my first weekend with no agenda.
I finally got out on the bike and rode both days. I went for a 7 hr ride on Saturday. 175 km 2700 meters over two mountain passes and finished with a refreshing soak in Kootenay Lake. On Sunday Tobi and I went out on a organized group ride with the Nelson Cycling club and rode the new trail up above Beasley.Vallelujah is the name of the new trail. The name was chosen because of the stunning views you get of the Valhalla mountain range along the ride. It was a 22km relaxed pace and felt good as my legs were sore from the day before.
I am looking forward to the Bow 80 plus coming up this weekend. There is going to be some fast riders there and it looks like the weather will co-operate. I have done the race twice and both times the rain and snow made for an uncomfortable experience. Last years race was canceled due to snow. If everything goes well I hope that this is my year to win a big old Alberta belt buckle. Check out the race and the new course for this year. http://bow80.com/
Wish me luck.
